View Full Version : light lister
cdinic 06-20-2002, 01:20 PM I have a scene with over a hundred lights, and when I make changes to their properties through light lister, it says "Displaying light lister" and takes a good 30 sec to build the list. This is very time consuming when I am trying to light my scene. Any ideas on how to speed this up?!
Thanks

Think yourself lucky, I often can't get it to open at all (even with only a few lights in the scene).

Several hundred lights into a scene (well more like after 7) I too gave up on the light-lister. Make good use of instanced lights that's my best advice..the light-lister definitely seems to run into some..ah..performance-issues..

Hey, do you feel good ? A non constructive post from you ! wow, it's the first time I see that !
just kidding ;)
try ctrl+l, lights won't display in the viewport, that might do the trick (I'm not sure it will !)
