How can I rotate an objects pivot so that I can rotate on a different angle? I don't think it's possible?:)

Heirarchy Panel---> click "affect pivot only" and rotate away.

rotating an objects pivot is a rather permanent solution though, the effect you're after might require you just create a box or something, rotate it so its axis are like you want your original object to rotate at. Then select that original object, hit the Reference Coordinate System dropdown, choose "Pick", and pick your box. Experiment with the Pivot Point Center button (the next button from the dropdown, to the right), and that's it..regardless of your chosen object your axis will be like that of the box. Neat, I think.

From time to time I have this place just off the work-area where I placed these helper-boxes I create. Keeping them there makes it extremly handy later on to snap the axis' around.

I knew how to rotate the pivot using hierarchy but that wasn't the problem. Even if you rotate it when you go out of that mode and try rotate the object it still rotates on the original XYZ!

Found the solution
rotate the pivot and then click the drop down menu that says "view" in there you find "local" VOILA Now the Axis re-aligns to the objects XYZ

I think this is pretty much what you were getting at Gaggle.
Thanks anyway guys:)
