View Full Version : Command Tab Syntax?

Is there a syntax list available for the Command Tab? I've noticed a few things in the example files that use syntax such as "@", and I'm not aware of any documentation on such syntax.
I'd like to have a list of any hidden syntax terms.
I'm studying the spider file, and breaking down how it was done. But I don' know what "@" means.
afaik @ mean at.
you can use [Null:ypos] or [Null:ypos@NOW]
it help to get the value of a channel, in this case the ypos of Null, at a defined time.
for example [Null:ypos@NOW+1] get the value of the y channel at the current frame + 1.

Cool. Thanks for the explanation.
Still, It'd be great if there was a listing of the syntax and their definitions, and perhaps short examples of how they are used. Like what you've done already. It'd knock off a big piece of a learning curve.
try to get a copy of the Expressions:Studio from Ron Griswold.
you can find it at characterfx.com, but i don't know if John Riggs is still in business.
usually he vanish for months.
the last update of the characterfx.com homepage is two year old (january 2002).

He appeared on the Yahoo list a couple months ago ... seems he's back now. He's supposedly going to work on some tutorial CD's and asked what Joe Cosman had already covered on his recent CD's.
