View Full Version : Numeric input for Perspective amount
Stoehr 12-29-2003, 08:24 PM I'd like to have some kind of numeric value for the perspective amount. Quite often, I get lost in 3D space because the perspective viewport becomes overly distorted. If there was some kind of value input, this would make it much easier to come back to the original perspective amount. For example, the starting value could be 1.0, and I could enter 1.0 if I needed to come back to the orignal perspective amount.
Or maybe a button to reset the perspective. One of the two would be helpful.

Look at the command line when you manipulate vues, you can edit those commands - pretty handy for resetting a perpective bank for example :) Also, be aware that you can dolly instead of zooming by using the right mouse button when you zoom, this prevents distortions :)

"Dolly", got it. Thanks.
I didn't notice the command line, thanks.

I found the default position in the command line:
SetViewZoom("_World", 4)
Thanks again, Maks.

Bank is essential as Heading and Pitch.
I know what you mean, that you need to reset it often to zero, it happens to me too.
However its impossible to rotate the perspective without this "freedom"
:)
