pelos 12-29-2003, 02:55 PM i did this character inspire by a action figure that came with the everquest game, i have to redo the boots, and rig the hands, al ready have weigth maps, and skelegons, is still dont know if leave the sword, or crate a pole like gandalf the with, (or gray)
all the model is set to use MD, i did a lot of work for the hair, poly hair but the cape, the skirt plus the hair, takes like 4 sec to calculete 1 frame resolution 2 and step 2 also,
ahh! done with splines

The body, cloth and so forth looks great! But is there any chance of getting a closeup of the face? The mouth looks like it might be, umm, alittle off? Could just be the lighting, pose, ect. Just curious.
Looks awesome, I am guessing that the proportions are supposed to be that way..?
Show some wireframes if you don't mind :)

SWEET! I am glad to see I was wrong about the mouth and eyes. The only thing I find strange is that the nose seems to stay the same width for along distance down the face making it look kinda like a cylinder. Does that make any sense? I think what I'm trying to say is that it might need to expand in width alittle more from the eyes down towards the mouth. The hair looks wonderfull. They were done as polys and not Sas? As I said sweet.

this a small test for MD with the hair, the render was done with out antialias, (takes to much time the transparecy channels)
i have 4 surfaces,2 for fix them, with MD and 2 more for change the color of the hair,
in this case i dont use a color channel so i can use the defaults of LW, (if i want to change the color, i just pic another inseide LW and dont have to edit the texture in photoshop) i also added gradients with wight map, so i can create roots of diferent color, like if she diel (paint the hair, i dont know how to say it in english)
the hair, so the roots my be black and the hair blond

Hey Pelos,
I realise that there may be a bit of foreshortening, but the feet and legs seem very large, even by comic, charicature standards.

I recommend that you look at these writing by Loomis, helped me a great deal with proportion
hope it helps

dr dardis, you are right about the porportion as you said, actualy i took as reference body a blue print of a comic girl (i belive is danger girl) the only thing i am working right now, is on the hands, and the boots, i dont like them, (the hand i belive their are to small, and the boot, i dont know, i just dont like them) i am more consern about the hair, and Dynamics,
but i will read the notes you gave me
THk for the comment :p

hey, i think this looks great. i like that it's not exactly proportioned, because it exudes style the way you have it now. the one thing that gets me is the feet, or rather, the ankles. it almost looks like she'd take off the boots and have hooves in there... there's something not quite right about the bends and buldges.
super work, i really like it!
