Good day all. I have been asked to model a robot to be put into UT2003 and have run into some issues. Attached is a picture of the robot to be modeled.

ISSUES:

1) How to create the wheels and keep the poly count reasonable
2) How to create the tread


If anyone can assist me on this it would be greatly apprecitated

One easy way would be to model the tread as a fixed shape, then animate UVs to simulate tread movement. You could even make two layers of tread, giving the outer one a simple clipmap transparency to define the sharp edges of the tread. It might appear to float a little from some angles, but would look right from most POVs. Just make sure to animate the UVs the same for both tread layers. Not sure how UT2003 handles UVs, but perhaps the tread UV movement could be tied to the model's movement.
