I wanted to create a vehicle for my NZ super hero 'Captain Pukeko' (for those who missed the thread)

http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=103218

But not some nancy-boy flashed-up sports thing, I wanted a meaty, greasy drag-racing machine! Escape should be using a smoke screen from burning the 18" fats, not some woosy 'push button' effect! :)

Anyway, I've just started today with this 'body' (This is the first car I've ever tried to model - If you comment, be gentle! :) ) - I wanted to retain some kind of 'bird' look to the car (along with the colours) so I replaced the bonnet with a front 'beak' shape. Its just a WIP... But its a start...

As for how he gets in? I had invisaged some kind of 'slide open' front section... But I'll think on that one. I've also got to think whether he should have a V8, or perhaps some kind of high-powered jet engine instead under that bonnet? Hmmm....

Yahoo this should be a laugh.

Hey you should submit this to the conservation department as a mascot.

Or perhaps open side windows, then he can slide in aka 'Dukes of Hazard' style! :) That could be, eh, painful to animate given his body bulk!

I'm also thinking of building a small team for him - Specially modified cyber-Pukeko's, trained in Martial arts. They can probably leap from the trunk of the car, kick some a$$ and then leap back in... (but its just a thought at this stage)

I don't think its the image that the Conservation department might want for a mascot, Petrik! lol! ;)

Back to it... So little time left before I'm back at work, and I have a tonne of projects to work on!)

Yippee! A quick half-hour update (inbetween writing and the P40) - Added some mags, wheels and a couple of side windows, bubble-style, but in the style of 'eyes' to keep the look in theme with the whole bird thing...
