Hey guys,

I am working on a project that involves character animation and some terrain and particles.... my problem is this...

since i havent gotten a chance to learn Maya character animation (which i hope to do soon as I have only heard good things about it) , and I have a good grasp on LW's IK/bones, I wanted to do the terrain (and maybe particles) in Maya and import them somehow into lightwave. What are my options for this? I know i could do it the other way around with an obj export....but I wanna try it this way.

Any help is appreciated. :)

I am not a Lightwave user...but give this a try... Polytrans... www.okino.com... I do not think it will transfer Maya particles though...

Just use Maya for character animation...it is better for that anyway...

I'd say head over to http://www.lwhub.com and make a post there directed at REN, he's works b/w Maya and Lightwave and would be able to give you clear pointers on what's possible and not so possible :).
