need help over here !
Hi, need some help with modeling, I´m making a female-like character with CV Nurms.

I´ve decided to build the whole model from one primitive, so working with cv´s I want to know, what I have to do to extrude the other parts like arms, neck, legs using the same poly, I mean not attaching the rest.

Thanks in advance

nobody replied my thread in Modeling discussion

I think your terminology is a little confused at the moment...

Nurms (Non-Uniform Rational Meshsmooth), is a modifier that can be applied to Mesh/Poly objects to subdivide their surface (Sub-D modelling). Meshes have Verts, Edges, Faces/Polys...

NURBS however (Non Uniform Rational B-Splines) are completely different. NURBS objects have C.V's, Surfaces, Curves - but not Polys.

So when you say I´m making a female-like character with CV Nurms. and so working with cv´s I want to know, what I have to do to extrude the other parts like arms, neck, legs using the same poly

It's a little confusing to pin down which method you are using! I hope you can see why your question poses a couple of problems to anwer and tell us exactly what methods you are using so people can help you out :D

ok (yea the terminology is a little off), but i think your asking whether or not to make each section of the model seperately and then weld them, or to make the model whole from one primitive...
well.......i'm not sure anyone could give u a solid answer on that one, it's all about what your comfortable in doing, but i would say make it all as a whole

Ok, sorry about that, I was messed up :surprised

I´m working with NURBS surface, so I want extrude arms and legs from the same model. not weld them to it. I´m trying now with U loft extrude, but which other methods can I use?

Sorry about the misunderstanding, and thanks for taking your time :)
