View Full Version : question on programmer's philosophy
Andy741 12-27-2003, 03:12 AM Okay, what is your philosophy for designing m:a? is there a reason you wouldn't add features that aren't incorporated into the workflow? for instance, a lot of Lightwave seems to be the result of plug-ins that get adopted to the core program so it's like this main program with lots of plug-ins. at least that's the way it felt when i used it.

I'm not a programmer, but Messiah's always been about the ease of use of its features / tools, its very well laid out interface and user feedback speed, and I cant ever see that changing, as thats its ' backbone ' :)
Messiah does contain ' plugins ' in a broader sense, but they are so well intergrated into the workflow that you never notice them as they appear as a ' feature / tool ' and not a ' plugin ' ( unlike LW and all its neverending popup panels / dialogues )
I've been a LW user for around 8 years now and if there was ever a program that needed an UI overhaul from the ground up, never mind a rewrite, then it is it.....
