hey everyone .. merry christmas and happy new year when it comes .. ..

..........making blendshapes i just wanted to know how do some of you well experience guys make your blendshapes .. whats your technique/workflow .. i was reading that people use clusters. and also manually just pull points. i dont have a technique yet.. so i'm kind of investigating to see the different ways in which i could experiment with ..

ive seen that many, many people just pull points to model the expressions, with som soft selections it works very fine.

remember to exagerate the expressions a LOT!

thx for the reply .. yea i heard about the exageration tip before..

btw i'm using maya 5.0 ..

i havent gotten the hang of using byrons poly tools to make blendshapes just because the area in which it influences sometimes affect areas i dont want to move and if i turn down the radius .. then it doesnt move what i want it to .. maybe i'm just using it wrong :surprised


anyone have any examples of what they did with byrons tools ..

tips tricks anything ..:bounce:

I like to use clusters ... you can paint the weights for them and get real specific...great for getting the fall off you want. I also use wire deformers....you can even throw some joins and a quick smooth bind to get the shapes you want....and lattices for the big stuff
