undo / redo = ctrl-z
step back in history = ctrl-alt-z
step forward in history = ctrl-shift-z

Here's some keyboard shortcuts you might find useful for brushes if you don't already know.

-The [ ] keys decrease and increase the brush diameter.
-The { } keys decrease and increase the softness of a brush.
-The , . keys toggle between NEXT and PREVIOUS brushes.
-The < > keys toggles between FIRST and LAST brush.
-The F5 key toggles the BRUSH PALLETE on and off.
-Use the numeric keys to change brush opacity, ie: 50 for 50%, etc.

Right clicking in the working area pulls up the brush pallete also.

Thanks Ikarus... some of those might be handy for me. ;)

couple more questions
what is the hotkey to go between full screan mode and out

also, the { } keys control the softness, but is there a hotkey that controls the shape to actualy change the shape and not just the softness from circle to a circlish with square edges? i hope that made sense haha ;p

Ain't W the Magic Wand Tool?

I'd say F is the key.

yeah, f toggles between full screen and normal...

another useful shortcut to remember (hope it hasnt been mentioned) would be
ctrl + alt + 0 which sets zoom to 100 percent (zoom actual pixels) as well as
ctrl + + (zoom in) and
ctrl + - (zoom out)
