Hi, im learning how to set up interior lighting by following this guide ;

http://www.cgarchitect.com/resources/tutorials/smoke3d/tutorial3.asp

But, im having a problem with the way the light enters the window and door. In mine the light seems to bleed accross the opening at the top. But in that guide it its projected in around the geometry. Does anybody know what im doing wrong. Im at 3.2 |(Sunlight) in the guide.

Here is the max 6 file. (Rename to .rar and use winrar to unrar)

Thanks.

He's scaling the lights.
He uses non_uniform_scale. That way he can give those lights the form he needs.
turn on use and show far and near-attenuation in the lights parameters and give them an elyptic output fitting the door and window.

good luck:beer:
