View Full Version : Fountain
Demonslayer 12-23-2003, 06:17 PM The fountain was modelled in Silo (for the contest), but textures and particles were done in Cinema 4D.
(This was also my first poly model :) )

only comment would be inter circle white bit is needs a bit more smoothing at moment can see curve lines.
how are you finding silo?
do you prefer using silo to model or c4d now?
does it have edges n ngons?
did you ever use wings how do they compare?
anyways enough ot questions...cheers.

thanks for the comment :)
and to answer your questions:
silo is nice, took a bit getting used to though (especially since never poly modeled)
no comment yet ;) (never poly modelled before this) but I most likely will like c4d more
silo does support ngons and has a mode where you can select/modify edges
never used wings
hope that helps :)

I was quite jazzed about Silo... until I got Mesh Surgery. Now, I
still like Silo, but Mesh Surgery made it almost redundant. The
only thing that it has that Cinema4D doesn't now in the
subdivision surface department is n-sided polys.
