I'm having some trouble finding the best method to convert a 3D scan/point cloud to a usable mesh.
What workflows/software do you guys and gals find works best?
Right now, I'm using Maya 5.0 to create a new SubD mesh under the imported point cloud. It's very time consuming and well, there's gotta be a better way. Is there some kind of software that can take a 3D scan, clean it up, and create a new nice, optimized mesh that can be animated and morphed? I've heard of Paraform (http://www.metris.com/), has anyone worked with it?
