The winners for Phase one of the Unreal Tournament 2003 mod making contest were announced over the weekend at the CPL dallas event.

Just in case any of the CG'ers other than me out there work on mods or think about it. Epic does some amazing community stuff.

congrats to all. i've played the best mod [DeathBall] and must say its very fun! i'm dl the best maps and take a look at the best models, awsome stuff!

it pays to play UT2003, now if everyone stopped playing with low grav and insta-gib [can't stand that...]

I am a low grav fan but hate insta-gib, it's lama shite. We put together a team here in PA to take a run at the cash next year when 2004 comes out.

ot: low grav is fun and all, but not every round. i can never find any good servers to play on cause my filters are set to filter out low grav and insta-gib [try it and see how many servers you get].

are there any other servers out there besides the ones UT2003 finds?

check this model done by Bastiaan "SkullboX" Schravendeel

awsome texturing!!!

also, for all you 3ds max-->UT2003 people, the 2nd best tool went to someone who made an exporter for 3ds max that exports the entire scene. save a lot of time, i'm testing it now.

Yeah, that model is sweet. Saw it here awhile back and fell in love with it.

But does it look that good in the engine, because that texture map is huge in that render?
