Title: Chocofur: furniture models for Blender
Name: Lech Sokolowski
Country: Poland
Software: Blender, Photoshop

Hello everyone!

After almost a year of intense, "after hour" work I feel like the first stage of this project is completed.

Chocofur is a collection of over a hundred furniture models created for Blender and Cycles rendering engine. They're divided in 7 categories basing on their material and purpose (wood, steel, concrete, light etc.)

One of the main purposes I had working on this project was the will to popularize Blender as an excellent tool for creating professional interior, furniture and architectural visualizations. With Cycles on board, I've been using Blender in my commercial works for almost two years. However, I've noticed one thing slowing me down for the most time and it was not the lack of any tools or special features Blender could have. The thing I really missed were professionally prepared 3d models and shaders I could just "drag and drop" to my scenes in order to save time and effort. That's when I thought about creating some furniture packs for me and perhaps other people too.

Anyway, you don't need to be Blender user to check the models. I've uploaded 14 free samples for a non limited use for everyone out there. Just visit the FREE section at store.chocofur.com

Some technical details:
- 2 models per day on average (from zero to final packshot renders)
- packshot average rendering time: 10 - 15 minutes in 1200 x 1200
- sample scene rendering times: 30 - 60 minutes in 1600 x 1200
- created with: Blender + Cycles + Photoshop

Cheers!
