Both pictures are really good, but the 2nd is a bit better ;)

=>The sky near the horizon in the 1st pic is too white, it almost hurts the eyes.

The rest is great.

ill have to agree, the 2nd pic is richer, even though it has less content. the problem with the first one is that its so cluttered with objects at the forefront (or seemingly at the forefront) that it becomes flat and busy.

nice work. The second picture has an incredible mood in it.
The first pic looks a bit unstable composition-wise, and that white "grass" looks really strange. No crits on the texturing/lighning though.

the atmosphere in those pictures completely floors me. wow. i think what draws the eye in the second picture better is the contrast of the sky to the rest of the background. if you darkened the rest of the areas in the foreground of the first pic, i think i would pull us in a little more. if not, its still pretty g*dd*mn AWESOME.

hey thanks you very much for your feedback,it is funny to see people saying "i prefer the second pic or first pic":)
the second pic is just a background for the first pic, not a final image.

a second version, not very finished ...

the new image is much improved, like it a lot better, the contrast really helps the image, you might play around with making it a bit lighter though, its almost swallowed up by darkness now (dont get me wrong, the image is great) i love the highlights, i would suggest just barely lighting up the image. great job...

the center object protruding from the ground is also kind of distracting, i would suggest either making it much smaller or getting rid of it altogether...

lol. "its too light!!" "its too dark!!" i think you will never please us! luckily the only thing we can find to complain about is the lighting :)

how about putting some golden edge-lighting on everything, or just the clouds and/or grass, to brighten it back up a notch?

(keep in mind at all times, this piece is so mind-bogglingly amazingly bad-@$$, it makes me feel like im passing a brick everytime i look at it!!)

thanks all,
darkfire : can you explain me the word "bogglingly"?
Apollo_tm: no hdri , just lighting and compositing

this image is the full castle without light, displace with vray inspiration of "orion"

sure thing!

bogˇgle ( P ) Pronunciation Key (bgl)
v. bogˇgled, bogˇgling, bogˇgles
v. intr.
To hesitate as if in fear or doubt.
To shy away or be overcome with fright or astonishment: “The mind now boggling at all the numbers on the table, both sides agreed to a recess of an hourE(Henry A. Kissinger).
To act ineptly or inefficiently; bungle.

v. tr.
To cause to be overcome, as with fright or astonishment.
To botch; bungle.

----------------------------------

my intention of the word had to do with the "astonishment" or my mind acting "inefficiently"

in other words:
"your art = WOW"
"me = woah" :)

the first one has impresive lighting. even if somebody said it hurts the eye, that is what winter is all about. when i see it i see greatness, i feel the cold.

the 3rd i think it is the worst :hmm:

5 stars for the first one

Impressive! Great atmosphere.
Your second (not finished) version is much better than your first posting.
