Hey all, This was an image I created for a client who needed a fancy RFP designed for Hershey's. This is one of the images created in the process, I spent about 4 hrs on this one, created in 3d Max 2.5, rendered at 8 X 10 in. print resolution, sweetened in Photoshop, slow dog 450 MHZ machine. Please give me your crits, thanks

looks good, htough the "hershey's" text seems odd... and the reflection is sorta confusing... that surface doesn't look like it would be reflective.

I agree.
The Hershey's text does look kind of odd...
It looks way to clean, make it darker and add more detail to the map.

yeah that hersey text is a bit weird and the combination of the reflection and the shadow make it confusing to look at. but at a quick glance it looks good. keep it up!

To fix the Hershey's text, I'd recommend making it so that it doesn't fill the whole space of the paper. Instead, leave some room! That's the way it is on the real Hershey's Kisses (I should know...I eat enough of 'em!).

I agree...scratch the reflective ground. Maybe try untwisting the paper part a little bit. It's a bit too twisty now, I think.

Otherwise, I love the texturing work on the kiss itself!

remember that strip that says hershey is wax paper, so its transcluscent (<- shitty spelling) The reflection should be blurred.

It seems as though the paper is too thin. I know that sounds weird since its paper... But it seems like it has 0 depth.

The only comment I have is that it's painfully obvious that you just used a bump map. Try some displacement mapping to rough up the edges. It think that would fix some of the reflection problem, too.

With it being Christmas and all, there are tons of chocolates floating around the office here, esspecially Kisses. I've eaten plenty of them already today. On the ones I've had today it actually says KISSES TM on the paper. The text is printed on one side but is visible on the other.

I just snapped a quick picture of one.

Hopefully the picture is attached okay.

I've been eating Kisses all day as chocolates have been floating around the office here. I noticed that they actualy don't say Hershey on them, instead they have KISSES TM on them. The paper is also very wrinkled.
