Hi all

Parenting enables the Child to inherit say the position of the Parent. Is there a way I can disable say the Y axis position inheritance?
For instance, in MAX, if you go to Hierarchy->Link, you can specify which axes are affected by parenting in pos, rot and scale. Can I do this in XSI?

Go in the Local Transforms of the child object. In the Options tab, uncheck what you want to not be affected by the parent.

I don't know a way to affect only one or two axises.

I already know how to enable/disable pos/rot/scale. Thanks anyway...

Solved. It was pretty easy to acheive the effect using expressions...Should have guessed it earlier.Well..
