Hi,
I have a question: I have modelled two characters using subds and now I'm trying to make UV maps... However, it seems that Maya has a problem with laying out UVs for higher-level vertices...
My idea is to texture the polygon proxy and have the UVs interpolated automatically. Unfortunately Maya does a really crappy job interpolating, namely it uses linear interpolation and not smooth interpolation like when doing a usual polygon smoothing. This causes heavy distortion on the texture...
Does anyone know a workaround for this problem? I really hope someone does, because my project is already sort of advanced and it would REALLY suck to convert things to polygons at this point :hmm:
Any replies would be very appreciated!
Best regards
