Helo riggers!

I've screwed with max standart bones, CS, Human IK .. but so far, imho, CAT is the first and only real rigging solution for max 5.1 & 6.0 ! ! !

Try the demo if you dont believe me:

Enjoy!

tried it a week ago and wow, I'm amazed on how good this is, I think they should just throw character studio away and bundle CAT with max instead:applause:

I've started to play with CAT and got few questions.

How to move center of gravity from bottom of the character to for example pelvis...I want my character to rotate in air like ball. Or is there any way to create helper point so it will be my character center of gravity.

Another question. Is there any way to connect helpers to move bones? When I'm trying to do so skelleton is collapsing or bones are disconnecting.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Its because you simply can't build a CAT rig that isn't rooted at the pelvis/first hub. The developers are aware of it, so with any luck its something that will be remedied in future versions.

ok.
And is this possible to change centre of gravity in character studio?

Personally, i prefear to create my own rig with bones and animate it by hand,i really like the Caracter tool of 3d s max..

But this tool is Half made...it need a Non linear animation sistem, or a clip mixer..without it ,is not so good..

Anyway, CAT is A very good Alternative.. u can create a very custom rig..and u can create Walk cicles, u can create and mix clips..

I hope that in future version Cs is throw away, and (a more functions..)cat will be a part of Max....
