You have to use a morphing track in the timeline editor (V6), according to the manual you need to have three objects:
1)Original Object
2)Target Object
3)Copy of Original Object
Hide the original object in the object manager, then open up the time line editor (hot-key:shift+f3) and right click on the copy of the original, choose new track->special effects->morph.
then using control and clicking on the required frame numbers add keyframes to the morph track, one at frame 1 pointing to ur original object (not the copy), then another frame later pointing to ur target object, you should then be about to scrub between them using the timeline.
Hope that makes sense

Or you can download Morphmixer or optimized Morph (from fabian) for free and assign sliders to the morph.
(Sorry, dont have the URl at hand)
