View Full Version : Final Gather Min+Max Detailed Messages

RCFG 0.4 debug: finalgather max radius = 7.061014 (computed from scene extent)
RCFG 0.4 debug: finalgather min radius = 0.706101 (10% of finalgather max radius)

Ok,i was reading somewhere...that if the min/max for final gathering shows in the detailed messages to set it like it says there in the min/max settings in the globals
is this correct?
im going to try it but im hoping someone will know where i read that/if not i guess i will work with it a little

i got it from the detailed messages


looks fine so i guess i'll leave it at that...seems like it renders really fast set like this

I think leaving the values in the render globals as "min/max 0,0" will make MR calculate those values itself. By putting in the calculated values into the manual values you're not doing anything that MR isnt doing already.

Those values might sometimes need tweeking to get better quality / or speed etc.
