View Full Version : Help finding a good sub d head tutorial
titaniumdave 12-16-2003, 08:38 PM Anyone know of a really good sub d head modeling tutorial? I would like one that uses a referance image. I've seen a few but none show the person using a referance image.

Personally I love this tutorial:

But I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for. A very, very nice one is in the book 'Maya Character Animation'.

I'm getting ready to try that secondreality tutorial. I just with there was one where they had a referance image so I can see exactly where they are moving the vertices.

You know, when I started my first couple of head models I thought the same. It becomes easier though. After modelling a couple of heads you begin to get a feeling for it. For example, the nose and the lips I found very difficult to do the first few times but it gets better.
And yea, the hobbibguy tutorial is a great one as well.
