I'm very interested in doing this and just building a seperate machine to game on, and I think that many other people have expressed an interest in this as well.

My question is this- will simply changing the PCI_ID with SoftQuadro make it into a full Quadro as recognised by the drivers (ie even the latest drivers can be used, and you dont have to run any scripts on them) or will it require actual soldering? If it does require soldering, can anyone show me exactly which resister needs to be moved?

You will have to remove the heatspreader from the GPU, caution.
This glue will get off easy if you put it in the fridge under 0 Celsius, but make sure it doesn´t get water contact (put it in a bag).
