Hi!

Just finnished this anmation project for our school. I never really animated anything serious before, have been modelling and done special effects for most of my time here, so I put the most weight on the animation on this procejt.

and I know about the dubble shadows, it really looks bad, but I had no time to rerender those scenes.

please comment the animation part of the movie, I know I can do better modelling and lightning.. or I think I could ;)

i dont get it...
the story didnt make sense to me. maybe this is a part of a longer storyline?
you might want to consider varying the laugh track each time you play it, that same audio clip gets old the 4th or 5th time you hear it.
as for the animation , it seemed ok, some parts i noticed that were off was when he thought about how to get in the room, his reaction didnt seem distinct enough, it didnt read that well that he had an idea on how to get in.
also when he jumped across the gap up top, he didnt have enough weight to him. i did like the feeling of it, with the colors, environmt and softish lighting . gg

Gatling and yangmiemie: thanks!

.theta.head.: thanks for the comments I will try to get more weight on my character when the moves, I also think he's to light in the whole movie.

The story whe got from out teachers, it's a part from a game they made this year, traitors gate 2: cypher, an adventure/puzzle game, if you played the game you will maybe notice that the store is taken from the first problem in the game, to light up a big temple complex

A couple of things, without the back story, it's hard to figure out what's going on. The problem (lack of water) had nothing to do with what went on in the temple. It's well put together and I love your character, the eyes are great. However the laugh track turned me off completely. Also have to agree with the previous comments about the animation though... Sorry if this is sounding a bit harsh, I know how hard it is to put a short film together. Overall you've got a great first piece of animation here, and I will look forward to your future stuff. Just work on the story ;)

Hi,

I like the animation, character, and setup, but I also have to say that I didn't really get it! Even knowing in advance that it had something to do with needing water.... Anyway, the animation itself was well executed, but the laughtrack killed the laughs for me. In short animation (I feel anyway), it's largely the pacing that bring laughter from the viewer. Telling them when to laugh doesn't really work, as it ruins the sense of drawing the viewer along and getting them involved. I couldn't see the double shadows though. :)

Was it just me, or did the character fall/jump twice onto the catwalk at the top of the stairs?

Loved the character. Lots to work with.
