Hi everyone just thought I'd let you know that I've released a free generic rig (Maya 5) ready for lip sync animation. Its a fairly advanced rig with a simple model.

It also includes a new way of selecting controls that's worth a look for any Maya animator. It's called Trigger UI by Hamish McKenzie - it makes selecting controls a lot easier.

You can download the rig from

Hey Andrew, many thanks for the rig. I've just downloaded it and will have a play around with it tomorrow.

I've been modelling with Maya for the last 3 years and am only now getting into Character animation so this will really help.

Hi all, just posted this on the Maya forum, but I'll try my luck here too.
I wonder is any one knows how to make the "generi_eye_follow ctrl" follow the head, theres a "follow head" slider on the channel box but it doesnt seem to work at all, also I've tried to parent (also group) it to the head ctrl but it doenst let me do it..
has anyone had the same problem and know how to fix it?

Oh!!! btw Andrew, I love your rig and character, the only thing I miss is the Strechy arms and legs option.

cheers
Grury
