Hi,

I just finished a very, very low-budget TV commercial to be aired on Norwegian television during July.

A few weeks ago I designed the CD cover for the new Galaxee album (Norwegian techno-trance act) and the record company later requested me to do a 20 sec. commercial with animated elements of the cover art.

It is very simple and abstract with basic fly-by's, and I was trying to make it nice to look at and setting a very trancy mood to it.

Made in Lightwave and After Effects.

ArneK,

Yeah, that was low- low budget and it sucked really bad;) Man you need to learn to sell yourself better ArneK, that was really cool for what it was. Never, ever, self defeat yourself with such negative vibes, (this goes to all), others will beat you up enough, but don't give yourself the first punch. Arnek, most jobs you get are going to be low budget (at least for a while), you are doing a good job with it, keep up the good work!!!!!

lol, meet the king of self-lowering!! Man, the commercial was definitely not high-high-end, but nowhere NEAR low-budget!! Believe me, i know from low-budget stuff, seen them. This is DEFINITELY not low-budget stuff. This is a very nice commercial, and personally, i think it would be a very great commercial, if you made the titles disappear behind your 3D objects.
Anyways, i just wanted to ask, how much you got for this (i hope i'm not being indescreet) -spelling?-.

Haha! :p

It wasn't my intention to make this post sound like "excuse-me-for-being-alive-and-posting-this-garbage"...
I stated that it was a low-low-budget job as it shouldn't be compared to work worked on for weeks.

Telecaustic, as you say "Never, ever, self defeat yourself with such negative vibes, others will beat you up enough, but don't give yourself the first punch." True. I never do either. I put pride in my work and always try to give my clients bang for their bucks. But sometimes there just isn't enough money or time to bring it to the level you want personally. Making clients happy is my #1 priority, but it pays off having fun doing it :-)

The toal budget was about $2000, including cash to the guy who did the voiceover, sound post, transfer to DigiBeta and broadcast master tapes...

hmmm, i wouldn't know really about prices but i would reckon that you got a far amount of...$1000? If so i think that's pretty nice.
