if i add an effector to the upper arm i get nice deformations, but if
i then add anther effector to the shoulder, the lower arm is able to
influence shoulder area.
I had the same problem round the elbow area. when i have 2 effectors
setup some points are effected 100% (completly white) other bones
further down the chain are then able to influence them. Ie the wrist
was now effecting the elbow area.
I did a simple test on a tube, with 2 bones and 2 meta effectors i got
the result i thought i would a sharp crease in the middle of the bend,
then if I added a bone at the end that could now effect the middle crease.
so unless i used a metaeffector for each bone i wont get the result i
expect.
so a point can have a value of more than 1, ie 1 from the effector and
a reduced value of the other bone.
I can understand why it does that I was just hoping that if a point
was effected 100% by an effector that other (non metaEffector)bones
couldnt effect it.
Also i hope that we will see an easier way of updating weights than
jumping in and out of setup (for normal bone weights)
I posted this on the yahoo forum as well, as i'm not sure which forum is more active
