This is a minigun I modeled in about 4-5 hours. I didn't stick to the reference images I found, I made most of it up myself. I doubt any minigun like this will ever be made.

Made in Maya 5.0.1.

Nasty looking weapon.

Great start. Hope to see you texture it.

Looks bad-ass, there's just three things bothering me.

The bullets look bigger then the barrel, which could pose a problem if someone actually tried to fire this baby.

The other two things are bullet-intake and outlet. The latter I couldn't find, the first looked unsofisticated, too simple.

Here's a pic showing the outlet.

For the intake, all miniguns I saw (not including the ones in games) had the bullets coming in under a slight angle to confirm to the rotation of the barrels. If they were inserted straight in, there's a slight chance of jam, and by inserting them in an angle, the chances of the weapon jamming are reduced to nearly zero, thereby enhancing it's effectiveness.

It's a nice model, I'm gonna subscribe to this thread!

Thanks for the replies and the comments. About the intake of the bullets, yeah I know it's kind of simple. Just used a boolean to make the hole. Thanks for the tip about the angle, I didn't know the thing could jam up if they were inserted straight

And about the bullets, they definately no too big, you're the second person who said that but they're still too small actually. Look at this pic

The selected object is the bullet. Nowhere near being too big.

I'll try to make some more detailed intakes and outtakes.

The picture you posted was also the one I used as a reference for some things
