View Full Version : Williams Formula 1 Car, more
Jargon 06-17-2002, 12:21 PM hello, my name is Matt, and I have been working in 3D for 3 years now. I started when I was 12 years old. I work in 3D Studio MAX 4, and use the public beta of Brazil R/S.
I have been reading these forums for a while now, but just registered today. I might be going out on a limb by posting this, in fear of having my behind roasted and flamed to a crisp because of my age, but here it goes anyway... :hmm: e-nuff talk, more pictures.

The gun looks nearly like a photo. Also I'm not a fan of weapons it's very well done. The car looks very good also.

wow, I didn't think I'd get any response. Yes, I am 15, and yes, I will do 3D graphics for food... :p thanks again for the positive response, I'll post here more often.
dirk- I agree, ferrari is much better, but I liked the williams' paint job more- petty reason to model it, but what the hey.
here is a high-res version of the car (1024x768), you can see more details in the model/textures.

btw, I tallied it all up, and the F1 took about 9 hours in total, 85% of it was texturing, I learned how to unwrap the model as I went, it was a learning experience. :) :)
Matt, very nice car and gun. The plane looks great too, but i think it has more potential. It blends too much with the background and the motion blur is distorting the background (try a different motion blur) But still, excellent, excellent work.
