View Full Version : C4D-messiah wackiness

Hi folks,

I picked up messiah a couple weeks ago and am just starting to fool around with it. The connection seems to work OK at first, meaning I can put a character into messiah, rig him and produce a simple animation that transfers back to C4D just fine. But when I save the scene in both messiah and C4D, exit the programs then try and come back things don't go so well. The character looks OK just opening the file, but scrubbing the timeline makes him disappear both in the viewport and the render. In messiah, the bones are still there and moving like they're supposed to but again the mesh is gone.

I'm using C4D 8.2 on Windows 2000 with a P4, 1 GB of RAM and a GeForce Ti4200.

Does anyone else out there using the messiah-C4D connection know what's going on?

Thanks,

Gregg

Have you installed the C4D patch available on the PMG site?

Edit: Did you read this thread?

Pit,

I'm using the connection update from the pMG site and it works fine as long as I don't exit C4D.

I've read the thread you posted and will see about fooling around with OpenGL, but it doesn't sound like quite the same problem: all my polys disappear in both programs, not just some; it doesn't matter which display mode is used in either C4D or messiah and the character displays fine upon reopening the scene as long as you don't change frames.

Thanks for the suggestions,

Gregg

ThorFury, have you tried posting your problem in the Messiah Forum ? You'll probably get the attention of the PMG guys faster on the forum than here(and no harm in getting in contact with PMG directly)...
