View Full Version : Dead_Girl_Is_Back
Hey everyone Well I know I have been out of the loop for some time but I'm back up and posting again......
I've got a project I'm working on with Spirit2029 with two biker chicks racing in a Akira style future world.......so I'm working good and hard on that.
The last time I posted was during the PA challange but I never finished.......after a bit I went back and got her done....so here you go.

thanks guys it's good to be back
looking good.
maybe add some folds to the corners (gloves, ellbow, suit) and the hands are a tad oversized. What is happening to her right.. er left, no .. right.. arm? The transition from organic (if it is) to tech could need some detailing.
great attention to the gear elements. was one of my favourite pa-challenge chars.
Well on a side note.......I also have this orc guy I'm working on thought I'd toss it up on this thread as well ..........

Really nice works, good attention to detail aswell. To bad her robot arm doesn't show in the coloured render. On the robot arm, I really think the "tentacle skin" is creepy. Not real, I think that skin would rot away.
Did you say orc?
Wah, I LOVE that stylized look of her face! Really cool render. I also like the details on her. You could maybe make the face paler to give her that dead look.
How are you deforming the belts and stuff on her? I'm still having a helluva time trying to get mine right :annoyed:
Great job, looking forward to seeing more!
Wiro
Wiro thanks for the good stuff......
I hate to say it but the wighting is just simple grunt work I weighted her in XSI 1.5 so it was a week long deal.
But I've weighted new characters in 2.0 and they take about a night or two because of the new tools.
But one of the thing that helps is envoloping each obect on their own and not all in one group and only weighting the objects to the bones around them ie not the whole rig.
Also the belts themselves have bone chains running down them parented to the shoulder bones.
well I might through up a wire frame or two for you some time soon when I get back home.
Any way I hope thats abit of help

Nice design. Are you rendering with FG or anything?
Vagabond: CDIS accepts anyone and anything as long as they have money. I don't even think they have any portfolio requirements yet.

These are looking really great! The textures really make her come alive! Please post the wireframes.
Your host doesn't allow outside linking, though, so although you see the images in the thread, everybody else just sees red "x".
Here are the links for anybody who wants to see:

thanks guys up untill now people where telling me they thought the eyes where a bit too much......nice to get some back up on that issue.
Popngear yah I used a FG but only to add a bit of fill to the lights that are already set up .......basically it was a three point system + the FG.
Well keep on posting

Wow, this stuff is super cool. Love the gothie textures and design. Looks like you might have some converging edges near the corners of the mouth but still excellent work. Plop,... on the desktop.
you ARE going to animate this, right? this character has so much... character!

@Broken Cycle - If the image is under 50k you can just attach it to your message. Only one image per post, though.
You can also fool geocities into allowing linking if you change the image extension to .txt before you upload it. Then it will show up in your thread just fine. The browsers are smart enough to show it as an image.
yah there will be an animation some where down the line with her I need to do one for my portfolio .....:p

If you're looking for a free image host that you can use to link directly into your posts, you should read this post (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=93132#post93132). Ignore the first paragraph, since it doesn't apply, but the second paragraph has a solution to your problem. ;)

man, those dark eyes really changes her face. On untextured renderings, she looks much cuter, I think, and I kidna like that... dead, but cute.
It rocks regardless, though. Luv textures on the orc.

1> some sort of vechial ie space ship or hover craft.....
2> an environment with a charcter placed in it you know all in the action pose and stuff
WEll also not to sure but I'm kicking around the idea of a blade runner type world but not on earth...... hmmmmm
or maybe some sort of cyborg yah I think I'm leaning toward the cyborg idea........
