View Full Version : vehicle: Outo Super GT
kingouto 12-12-2003, 02:14 PM I'm not really in to CG vehicles, but after seeing so many REALLY nice ones lately, I thought I should give it a go anyway.
I didn't want to model any existing car so I ended up doing this "Outo Super GT 2003". Designwise, I think it's some sort of weird mix between an early 70's Lamborghini Miura and a 90's Porsche 911... I think.
Let's hear what you think...

kinda reminds me of the ford GT40.
nice work!
only one thing to criticize, the rims ... nice vehicle but such show-off-rims on it .... a shame

Todella hieno. Perästä tulee mieleen joku japanilainen -70 luvun urheiluauto.
Melko matalaprofiiliset noi renkaat :).
Too lazy to translate english...

thats hella cool man, just my style.
This basic shape is one of my favorites, I think you did an excellent concept based off that style. I love the modern feel but also big retro in the small stuff also.
I notice in the front view you have the vents next the the side glass similar to the Miura. I see the porshness in the nose and headlights.
Damn I love it when things are simple. good work man

Looks good. I immediatly recognised the Miura in your design (because I modelled it some time ago). The rims are nice, very hiphop style no?

thanks all for your opinions,
-CCFly- I know what you mean about the rims. originally, I made them quite a bit smaller (same design), which made them somewhat classic 60´s wheels. The problem with that was that it just made the whole car look old and I wanted the car to be modern. Still, I think I just might take an inch or two off them to make them a bit less aggressive...

Adjusted the wheel size and added some detail to the background.

Great work! I admire your skills
Liked the huge rims better than the latest though.
They gave the car an agressive look, which suited it
al lot better than the latest 'horse-wagon wheels' :p
Also, the renders look kinda like hand-drawn.
Dunno why I get that impression, but it doesn't look
all realistic to me (if that was your intesion?)
Maybe turn the aa up a bit?
Anyways. Great work! Wish I had the skills/patience to
do such a model. Keep it up!
