Nice start, although it is a very simple scene!
Try to put some dirty textures on them and put them on a desk or anything else to touch, so you can play with the shadows and the lighting!
As for the quality of the image you upload try to navigate to http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49775
for some free hosting solutions thanks to
lildragon.
Keep posting!

Its a nice start, but the wood texture on the tip isn't seamless

I did my best but I think method was wrong. Once again, in this model the point was to show the idea of modeling a pencil.
Tnx for comment. Perhaps u're willing to help as to putting my pic/avatar in this forum?
Tnx again

 Hard to see your imagedetails.
Try a better compression quality and use IMG-Tags.
I know, 20000 bytes is not much space for images.
I've seen somewhere a post ghosting around
about free webspace. Look for it!

Try these:
Picserver (http://picserver.student.utwente.nl/?action=news) - Free image hosting. Remote linking allowed
Upload-It! (http://www.uploadit.org/) - Free uploading max 500kb/file. Remote linking allowed.
Ontopic: Your model seems fine but I think you should try to put it in some kind of environment. The classic "object-on-a-plane-with-skylight" will do.. :)
