View Full Version : Character concept art
Norante 06-17-2002, 12:54 AM Itīs me again (I hope Iīm not giving on your nerves)
This one is a concept for a computer game project. Unfortunately, the project was canned due to lack of money...
Anyway, itīs part of a full rotation set for modeling, but the other drawings are not in my possesion right now.
Time to bash it

cool design...
IMHO, do you think that more edges to the armor (prehaps thicker paddings) will make it look better?
got a side/ 3/4 view of this thing?

I really like it, big hips and all. Too many times we want images to resemble humans, but the futher away the better and more unique. Of course there is a fin line between an innovative design and a messed up idea.
Its got my approvial.
I really like the upper body of this creature. The head, shoulders and chest are very well done. At about the waist area I loose interest in it. I don't know why really ... other than the happy face on his crotch piece.

Thank you all for the comments.
This creature is from a race called Tyrians. They are sort of amphibious creatures, big, fat, and need moisture to survive. Hence, the big armor, that supply water to his body :-)
About some detail in his armor, Im sure if he was posed, they would not be so evident. But since this drawing was intended to be a concept for modeling and skinning, the symmetry can be hard to the details.
Sorry for the bad english, and thank you for the critics
