Hello,

I can only find rigid body in the blender game engine - managed to render it to a keyframe animation and have it in the timeline.

But what if i want rigid bodies to react to key-frame-animation? For example I would like to rotate the ground (simple plane) around the x- or y-axis. As a result I would like towers standing an the shaking ground (that consist of rigid bodies) to fall apart. :banghead: But it's only an example, I am looking for a general solution to mix dynamics and keyframe animation. An other example could by multiple rotating cylinders working as a conveyor belt.

I am wondering why there isn't a rigid body function in the dynamics tabs outside the game-engine. Or is it still in development or am I missing something?

Thank you. (Sorry english is not my native language :curious: )

ok found something, maybe a work around to bring keyframe animation into the game engine:

But I would like the other way round.

Hi Cyberdodel,
The current release of Blender (2.65) doesn't support rigid bodies but, by happy coincidence, it'sscheduled to be included in the next release (2.66). Documentation, including a video guide, can be viewed here (http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Sergof/GSoC2012/Documentation).

Blender updates are currently released every 2 months (give or take a week) and the next release is due in about 3 weeks (Blenders update cycle is described here (http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Doc/Process/Release_Cycle)- we're about to go into the 3rd phase prior to 2.66's release). Pre-release builds can be downloaded from here (http://builder.blender.org/download/)but be warned, they may contain bugs and so might crash or otherwise behave unexpectedly.

Blender 2.6 is out: http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-266/

Rigid Body dynamics included! Keep in mind this is the first release supporting it though, I'd expect refinements in the versions to come.
