So yup, I kinda used this page http://www.luma-pictures.com/tools/pymel/docs/1.0/ui.html to create a simple user interface (scroll down to the callback object part), although everything I've tried to actually add a text field doesn't seem to work.

I've cut it down to the basics to make it easier to read aha, the checkbox is fine not using that callback command but the button needs it, unfortunately it mentions nothing about radio buttons or text fields on the site

Does anyone know how to get any of those two working?

thanks :)

def buttonPressed(formInfo):

(setting some variables using .getValue() and formInfo)
(run the rest of the script)

win = window(title="title")
layout = columnLayout( rowSpacing = 10 )

win_createButton = button( label="button", command = Callback( buttonPressed, "cB" ) )
win_createCheckBox = checkBox( label = "check box", value=True )

showWindow()
