I like it :) Only thing i can suggest is to add some fog, because right now it looks like the shark is plastered onto that background.

Model is looking good, nice lines. Could do with a little more surfacing..even though sharks are very smooth, they still have all those little imperfections, bumps and scrapes. I think what's up with the eyes is that they should be pure black..just some tweaks. Maybe a little more 'crazy teeth' too.
More pronounced caustics might be good if he's that close to the surface, too, or actually seeing the surface above him..maybe that's what makes the bg look odd, is you seem to be looking up at the shark, but there's no surface up above.
And sure he's ugly, but we all have our problems..was enough to be a mascot for a TV show in the early 90's :D

It's looking good.....what did you use as reference material? There's a few things I noticed that appear to be off. The mouth seems a bit too large for a hammerhead, they typically have much smaller mouths in comparison to other sharks (such as the great white or tiger). Also, the thickness of the tail fin might be a little too thick. Just some observations. I used to study sharks a while back. The rendering looks good though and I hope to be in Brazil during Carnival sometime in the future.....you have a gorgeous country! Keep up the good work.

if i may, ..... i would dirty him up. a shark has competitors so he wil have had an fight. then he would also have scars and so on. mabey the shark got stuck in a fishnet or something that made him got scratch and so on.
but the overal shark looks great, the only problem the shark has is a to perfect outline make the fin on the back a bit tormented. also the backfin and the tail is too sharp. try to make the texture vary a little , not in such straight outline.
but it's your shark,

you can find pictures on google. but there are many many sites about sharks and also hammerhead sharks.
glad i could help and i will be looking forward to see a update of the texture. oh by the way, the model being simple isn't bad but if it is you must use the texture to do a great part of the modeling for you.
greets, niels
