Reactor is an absolutely supurb plugin for MAX. It's very cool, especially for water although it's very heavy on disk space.

For example, to make a "sea" scene you need to bind a plane of up to 700 x 700 to the water to give the effect of waves. Once Reactor has calculated this it slows down max to the point of stopping.

My question is, if i animate 200 frames of flowing water, how would i use this without it killing my pc?

Make it an xref. Then in the scene you want it in have there but display a proxy in its place in the viewport.
