View Full Version : Lighting looking washed out. Maya w/ mental ray

Hey. First post here. Point me to a better forum if there is somewhere more relevant. I'm building an interior, I'm liking my results generally but my renders are looking a bit washed out.

Like that.

Check the colours in the cups on the table and the picture on the wall (if it's not too small to see!). It's not bad, just not vibrant enough.

I'm using Maya with mental ray, and physical Sun and Sky with a Portal light over the windows.

If you use linear workflow then you need to gamma correct your texture. If you use Maya 2011 or above, go to your render globals very first common tab. Tick Enable Color Management. Set input to sRGB and output to Linear.
