wizard06 12-10-2003, 12:15 AM how can you get the cloud particles to look spherical, i guess self shaded instead of a flat looking cloud render. is there a better method than with cloud particles.

Change the render type to cloud, click on add attributes for current render type. Turn on "better illumination". Create a volume shader in the hypershade. Scroll down, up your diffuse coefficient some and turn on self-shading shadow. This will give you some more definitely to your shapes. Increasing Surface Shading in the particle attribute editor and assigning the particle shape a shader of some sort will also add lots of definition, but I am not sure how to add the non-volume shader to the particles, but I know it can be done. Do a search on this forum for how to assign a surface shader to the particles, I know it's there.
