when in layout and you setup an animation if you move the bar on the timeline to watch the animation, only the model's bones show but once you stop dragging you see the full model, anyway to have the whole model show when moving the frames ?

It's because of your bouding box threshold.

Press "d" in layout. And next to Bound Box Threshold there is a stock number of, "5555", change that number, add a couple of 5's, this will slow down your computer a little bit. But should do exactly what you want.

And just so you know -
let's say your object has 10,000 points or polygons. If the bounding box value is set to 9999, your object will draw - Anything below 10,000 will remain solid when you scrub the timeline. Any object more than 10,000 points or polys will jump to a bounding box when scrubbing. I usually set mine to about 45000. A lot of this value depends on your system and video card. My systems have 64MB GeForce cards.
