This little checkbox at the top of my BRDF panel is confounding me... I don't understand what it's usefulness is.

Anyone, anyone.... Beuller?

So, what does; 'Save Lights in Scene' do for me when using BRDF? I've searched the manual (paper and pdf). I've searched the forum.

Does anyone know the answer to my quest (ion)?

Thx,

Michael

LOL

To answer your question, I have to admit that I wondered exactly the same thing a while back (when I was writing about the shader for my book), but was unable to find an answer either

And I simply cannot figure it out on my own :surprised

I *don't* know the answer for sure. But I vaugely remember thinking that it just saved out the lights that BRDF reacted to. In case you had like 150 lights in a scene or something.

I'd encourage you to find out about that, though, as I don't know for sure. For some reason, BRDF won't load on my machine. I think I have 7.5 plugins mixed in with 7.5c.
