I know it is great to see where your mousepointer is but, as a new feature, this is way over the top:

What are you talking about?!? This was the #1 requested feature of users that have gigantic super insanely high res monitors. With my resolution of 16,348 x 12,569, I often lose my mouse pointer, sometimes for days at a time. Thank you Newtek, don't listen to these naysayers.

And I'm so glad that they've decided to add the pig primitive. I requested a warthog primitive but the pig will do just fine.

oh yes, I love the new pointer. ( i hope we can change it) how bout a gnarled orc hand. And I think the pig primative will quickly overtake the teapot as the most rendered model.

I would love a big hand pointer like that in LW8! just give it a sharp fingernail so i can grab those tiny keys in the dopetrack.:buttrock:

Well there has been another big hand sighting. It’s everywhere! Cool! It works even when Lightwave is minimized! So, when you poke the icons on your desktop, do they jiggle? This new feature is almost as good as the always-on particle emitter (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=100499&highlight=particles#post100499).

OMG, do you know what this means? That's not just a large mouse pointer! It's an highly advanced artifical intellegence based mouse pointification program that keeps Newtek secrets from getting into the wrong hands. It also looks as though it has a built in sprite hypervoxel emitter with 3d painting abilities.

I see what Newtek is up to, the AI mouse pointer (or H.A.A.I.B.M.P.P.) must recognize what you are trying to animate or model and then it takes over and finishes the job for you. It's like an autocomplete feature for 3D! This will revolutionize the industry! It will take months or days for the rest of the industry to catch up. Way to go Newtek!

HMMM BOXX machines have G.S.I.H.R.M...maybe this is a planned development by NewTek and BOXX to infiltrate the 3D industry with this....H.A.A.I.B.M.P.P.

Now not only do we have to upgrade to 8, but buy G.S.I.H.R.M. equipment to be able to us our new H.A.A.I.B.M.P.P. features…or your S.O.L.…

I have been told that if you do d - display option and change the grid size, the pointer grows or shrinks...

I was just at the Australian electronic arts and animation festival and saw local hero Johnny demonstrating this exact same scene on a beta version of lightwave 8!!! it looks really cool. although it was remarked by somebidy in the crowed that I had a striking resemblance to the pig - maybe I should look into herbalife

Someone just sent me a leaked version of the H.A.A.I.B.M.P.P.! Currently it's making something for me in modeler. It seems to be some sort of... eagle... in a barrel. :shrug:
