Thats a cool concept! Although i think there are weird blurry parts in the pic, i think your settings for the DOF are set wrong, maybe need more passes....also, for that green goo/substance, i think you should make it more seethrough, with refraction, and possibly a few air-bubbles, floating at the very top....
keep it up!;)

I see what you are going for, but you are not pulling the concept off very well visually. It is obvious you are trying to take an unlikely angle on the use of the objects in frame, but thier are not enough Visual Clues to pull you concept together. It looks like Medical Needles and some labels, that's it. Your needles are too medical looking, you need to suspend disbelief a little, by making the needles hi-tech charactures of what they actually are. Then you need to somehow visually explain that it serum in your needles are actually digital goo, or something. I hope you give this another shot, I really want to see what it looks like in the end.

how about this, for the background, you place a bunch of old computers, on stretchers being injected with this stuff??

you should send that To AMD
they could totaly use that in an ad.
and you could get some free dual AMD MP 2100+ processors, and give me one set becuase i gave you the idea

I like it way better no, the goo seems more like hi-tec, rather than like flubber! Good job man, looking forward to the background update!

Looking better, Now I am starting to become lost in the reality you are building. You lighting is WAY Better in my humble opinion. though it is a subtle change, it really lifts me away from what I was seeing in your first post. I'm staying tuned.
Edit: Just looked agian, maybe you didn't change the lighting at all on second look. Maybe it was just the color of the goo. Good Job.

Your needles arent centered right. It reminds me that they are cg. Other than that it looks really good!

Good concept. The goo looks cool, like it has a power of it's own in the second image. Nice work. Now for the crits:
I think the clips should look more metalic...higher reflectivity and a fresnel diffusion (or at least a low diffusion value).
The DOF still doesn't set right with me. It looks more like motion blur with low AA passes than DOF. I'm not sure what to tell you to do about that one, but it's an observation.
The tray they are sitting on looks to have no surface detail. Maybe it can be metal too. With some scratches or some kind of bump to give it a more real look.
Looks great. AMD will be proud. But don't expect any free CPUs from them. :)

nice concept man, only thing is that the point of focus and the focal length need some fixing. I think it would be nice at least ONE of the needles being in focus, that would look cool
You know what i just thought?
Try making a render where the camera looks at the vaccines from the top (like you know, straight), the scene filling your image size, using the border of the panel you placed the vaccines on as the border for your scene, and each vaccine being a little pressed already, each one at different length. Have about 6-8 vaccines. now THAT would look cool for an ad!
