Pretty cool! So now v2 is separated from Hairtrix/hairFX/Shag:Hair amalgamation?

Yes that is correct. Ornatrix is full on Ornatrix (no other mix-ins or amalgamation). Full featured, developed and supported by Ephere :)

Also if you were wondering, Ornatrix V2 is not a basic recompile of the original. Ornatrix V2 has been reworked with a ton of new features, functionality and stability. We have worked together with studios such Blur Studios to produce an outstanding, production ready hair solution :)

We do plan to have some overview and training videos out shortly. Here is a quickie I made last week some MassFX dynamics.

This is a quick video of Ornatrix 2.0 MassFX integration and viewport rendering. In this scene a Mass FX simulation is taking place on a sphere emitting hair. The sphere is held up by the hair when it hits the ground. The hair is then affected by a Pbomb Space Warp that blows the hair to the left, taking the emitting sphere with it. Ornatrix 2.0 full integration with 3ds max 2013 MassFX allows for some very interesting effects.

This scene also shows the viewport rendering capability of Ornatrix 2.0 in 3ds max 2013. This animation is a viewport capture.

Well rendering with Quick Silver is and using OX Fast Raytracer its not much slower. Under a second a frame in HD 720P. This is a really simple example of course :)
