Hi guys!
Thought I throw this out there to pick your brains a little!
Need your help on a decision. Im about to replace my 2 rendermachines, and Im trying to decide whether to go for an M-ATX board (small case and 4 RAM slots) or I-ATX (smaller and 2 RAM slots).
From what Ive been able to find there are no I-ATX boards that has 4 RAM slots. and they dont support more than 16Gb either.

For starters Im going for16Gb (2x8) no matter what I choose.

What would you guys do?

Take care!

It really depends on what you do.
That said, given how cheap ram is these days, how lethal it is to run out of it, and how you can't EVER possibly have enough of it, I would go for 32.

Thanks for your input Raffaele. You are right about running out of RAM. Iva had that problem only once, about 6 months agowhen I had to upgrade from 16 to 32Gb on my Workstation. Just loading the MAX file took 15Gb RAM!
So its not very often that 32Gb comes to use though.

But some nice input, thanks!

This is a cool solution, here... (http://www.braverabbit.de/playground/?page_id=630)

Follow up question:
same price for the I7 3770 3.4GHz and the I7 2700K 3.5GHz. Any ideas or tips?

Go for the 3770K. The 22nm Ivy Bridge is the newest stuff out there.
