Paul McWilliams has been Environment Technical Director on such visually spectacular films as ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ and the Visual Effects Oscar award-winning ‘Inception’.

In this online 8 week mentored training course, Paul will take you through the VFX production techniques he used to create ‘Mal's house’ seen in the Limbo sequence of the
film Inception.

Newly added to the course will be 3D painting using Autodesk's Mudbox. Paul has added this to the course to demonstrate how 3D painting can improve and speed up the environment workflow.

For a detailed week by week course outline, head to CGWorkshops (http://workshops.cgsociety.org/courseinfo.php?id=330&utm_source=cgsociety&utm_medium=forumpost&utm_campaign=mcwjan330) .

This is an intermediate entry level workshop, suitable for students with a good understanding of Maya.

"Paul, well done on a topic that a lot of people miss out on; the really fine details of modeling and texturing. You have inspired me to do better and better and never strive for
second rate in 3D."
- Mario Yannakakis, student, June 2012.

With feedback like that, you just have to enroll! (http://workshops.cgsociety.org/courseinfo.php?id=330&utm_source=cgsociety&utm_medium=forumpost&utm_campaign=mcwjan330)
